Zac Farro isn’t done with his Operator era. After releasing his dazzling solo record in 2025, he’s sharing a new version, Operator – Live In Studio, on July 17 via Congrats Records. And ahead of the LP release, he showcased the live version of the title track. Be prepared to be whisked away to an immersive, groovy world that only an exquisite artist like Farro could build.
Farro says, “Translating ‘Operator’ to a live setting was a crucial part of sharing the album for me, I wanted every moment of the record to shine. There is nothing quite like the experience of musicians sharing the stage and hearing what each individual performance adds to the show.”
When we first released “Operator” back in 2025, he shared, “This song is about missing someone — being on a different page, so to speak. Metaphorically, it’s like playing phone tag. It introduces the themes of the album: the second-guessing that happens when you can’t reach someone and are left alone with your thoughts.”
