Are you the center of this emo/horror Venn diagram? Weezer recruited Curry Barker to feature as the director in their latest music video for their track “C.E.O.” Curry Barker skyrocketed to stardom this year with the release of his debut feature-length film, Obsession. Known and loved in the indie horror community for his work on Milk & Serial, The Chair, Warnings, and more, Barker reached new heights with Obsession. The flick is one of the highest-grossing original horror films of all time, currently sitting at nearly $500 million in box office sales.
Everyone has been wondering what would be next for the iconic indie horror writer and director, but teaming up with Weezer wasn’t what anyone was expecting. “C.E.O” comes as the second single from The Gold Album, arriving on August 21. It follows “We Might As Well Be Strangers” featuring Wednesday.
