Sleep Theory has returned with a special reimagining of their beloved EP Paper Hearts today. Originally released in 2023, the EP boasted very successful singles from the band like “Gone or Staying” and “Numb.” Sleep Theory actually performed both of these songs live at the idobi studio last year. The new reimagined version of Paper Hearts shows Sleep Theory on a new bed of instrumentation. Sonically, the group is known for its hard rock sound bathed in buttery vocals. The new version is lo-fi, stripped back, and more pop-leaning. This really complements the vocal delivery. It almost sounds as if this is the way their music always was and lends itself to bringing in a whole new batch of Sleep Theory fans that may not have been introduced to their usual sound. Either way, Sleep Theory is talented and the music proves it. Whether they are making rock music or lo-fi music, it is presented in a way that feels authentic. Check out the EP below.
