Following the release of their tracks “Katy Bar The Door” and “Living Undercover,” Rise Against has revealed the official music video for one of their new offerings.
Tim McIlrath clarifies that “Katy Bar The Door” comes from an old expression that essentially means that “all hell is about to break loose.” He adds, “I don’t know where I came across this expression, but I immediately was taken with it. While an obscure reference now… I liked the idea of resurrecting it for this song, and that it sort of fits what it feels like to be alive in 2026.”
In fact, McIlrath penned the track after seeing the violent ICE raids in Minneapolis, noting, “This is not the first time in history we have reckoned with abuses of power. Bearing witness to the fragility of democracy is a scary thing, and it demands a response.”
