Motley Crue's Vince Neil To Re-Issue Two Albums On Beyond Music/VNS Records

Beyond Music/VNS Records excitedly announces two album re-issues from Motley Crue’s Vince Neil. Solo projects, “Exposed” and “Carved In Stone” will become available in June 2001.

Originally released by Warner Bros. Records when Vince was recording separately from Motley Crue in the mid-nineties, Vince elated his fans nationwide with his solo album releases, giving Motley Crue fans everywhere even more great music.

“Exposed,” Vince Neil’s first solo album, which sold more than 300,000 copies, contains multiple, must-have hits including: “Sister of Pain,” “Can’t Have Your Cake” and “Look In Her Eyes.” “Carved In Stone,” which attracted the Dust Brothers as producers, features “Skylar’s Song,” dedicated to the memory of his young daughter, who passed away around the time of this album.

“It’s very humbling that Beyond Music, in conjunction with my label, VNS Records, feels strongly enough to re-issue my work and share it with my fans again. It gives me a renewed energy to go out on the road and tour again knowing that my songs will be heard time and time again,” said Neil. “I look forward to a long, formidable relationship between my new label, VNS Records, and Beyond Music.”

While Motley Crue is taking some time off this spring, Neil will be hitting the road on a small solo tour. In addition to Neil, band members touring with him include Brent Woods (guitar), Brent Fitz (drums) and James Hunting (bass).

Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil will take on the role of label head later this year when he establishes his own label, VNS Records, as a means to re-issue his two earlier solo albums, “Exposed” and “Carved In Stone,” and possibly release new albums by himself or others.

Neil re-joined Motley Crue in 1996. Since then, Motley Crue has released: “Greatest Hits,” which went gold; their critically acclaimed re-issued catalog; and their 2000 studio album, “New Tattoo.”

Motley Crue’s essential albums, “Too Fast For Love,” “Shout At The Devil,” “Theatre Of Pain” and “Dr. Feelgood,” sold more than40 million copies and produced more than four top-ten singles.

In 1999, Motley Crue re-released their multi-platinum catalog on Motley Records, simply titled “Crucial Crue.” In addition, the band has played to more than 30 million fans worldwide and is credited by some as having helped define the rock music lifestyle to the “MTV Generation.”

Motley Crue’s long-awaited tell-all book, “The Dirt” (Regan Books/Harper Collins), will be in stores May 22, 2001.
