Makari Has Great “Chemistry” On Brand New Single

Following the release of several 2026 singles, including “Asking For A Friend,” Makari hits another home run with their new offering, “Chemistry,” out via Thriller Records.

The band explains, “This track is about the delicate dance of the early stages of dating. In this honeymoon phase, intense feelings of infatuation often collide with the fear of losing those same feelings, or getting hurt. To pursue romantic love, we are asked if we have the courage to go all in: are we able to trust someone with our heart? Can we handle our ego being damaged? Are we willing to trade some of our autonomy to bring another person into the folds of our lives?”

They continue, “We’ve all been hurt or lied to at some point in the pursuit of romantic love, and that is the subtext of ‘Chemistry.’ The song acknowledges it’s ‘hard to trust someone,’ but insists on leaning into love and following the heart, instead of letting fear and anxiety stop something beautiful from blossoming.”
