Sublime stopped by the brand new idobi Studios in Santa Monica for a special idobi Session performance, bringing together the band’s next chapter and one of the most recognizable songs in alternative music history.

The session features performances of “Can’t Miss You,” the band’s latest fan-favorite single from their new era, and “Until The Sun Explodes,” the title track from Sublime’s forthcoming album. The song has already made a major impact on alternative radio, reaching No. 1 on the Mediabase Alternative radio chart and No. 1 on Billboard Alternative Airplay.

The idobi Session captures Sublime at a moment bridging legacy and future. With Jakob Nowell leading the band, Sublime continues to honor the foundation built by Bradley Nowell while pushing the story forward with new music, renewed energy, and a decades-spanning connection to fans.

“Having Sublime in the idobi Studios for an idobi session is exactly what this series is built for,” said Eddie Barella, CEO and Creative Director of idobi. “It is an intimate performance from a band whose music shaped alternative culture, especially here in Southern California, while also spotlighting the new songs carrying that legacy into the future.”

The performance arrives during a milestone year for Sublime, as the band celebrates the 30th anniversary of their landmark self-titled 1996 album and prepares for the release of Until The Sun Explodes.

Sublime also performed their classic “Santeria,” giving fans a rare intimate version of a song that has remained a defining anthem across generations of alternative, ska-punk, reggae-rock, and Southern California music culture. Keep your eyes peeled for “Santeria” dropping next week.
