Backstreet Boys On Course To Continue Tour As Planned

As A.J. McLean continues treatment for alcoholism, depression and anxiety, the Backstreet Boys are on course to resume their tour as planned on August 24 in Milwaukee, the group’s spokesperson said.

On August 4, McLean left the rehabilitation center where he had been staying since early July, and moved to a “transitional care” facility in Los Angeles, according to the Backstreet Boys’ publicists.

When BSB first announced McLean’s problems, they said they would resume their tour August 7. On July 31, however, the group said that A.J. would need two extra weeks of treatment, pushing the resumption of the tour back to August 24.

“We truly want to thank our fans for standing with us through this,” Nick Carter said in a press release at the time. “And we know that it will be worth the wait for them to see the five of us back onstage.”
